I spent the month of June working with ideas, sketches, color palette, and shapes gathered from our stay at Edisto in May. I wanted to find out if I could translate those sensations into paintings from my ocean impressions. After several sketchbook explorations and paper studies, along with some canvas paintings, I found these three best express what I was after with abstracted seascapes. I know I have more to explore with this theme and will be returning to it again.

After finishing my marsh painting - yes I also went back to Edisto for a couple of hours - I thought I was done painting for the day but your paintings make me want to get the paint back out! Very nice work as usual. Ken
